Tools Suggested
Metric and SAE (Allen) wrenches, sockets and related hand tools, soldering iron
and related wiring tools.
Note
While installation is rather straightforward, dealer installation is recommended
for those individuals not comfortable with wiring and other related skills required
for the installation of this product.
Please note that the flash rate will vary from bike to bike based on the bike's
total electrical load impedance, and can be modified with the installation of a
flasher module (’04 models) or load equalizer (’05 models and up with self
canceling turn signals), not included. As stated in our conditions page @
www.mbwmotorcycle.com, this is not an acceptable reason for refund/return.
PROCEDURE Average Time: 1-1½ HOURS
· Prior to install if you'd like to test each LED, simply hold the correct wires
to the corresponding terminals on the battery or any other 12-volt source.
Note that the purple wire of the LED silver bullet corresponds to the high
intensity LEDs while the blue wire corresponds to the low intensity LEDs.
Black is ground.
· Prior to hard wiring/soldering it is recommend that you mock-up
the wiring to determine your flash rate and four-way flasher
function to determine whether or not a flasher module or load
equalizer is needed or desired.
· Prior to installing the silver bullets, choose which style bezel you prefer,
visor or visor-less.
· Carefully remove the headlight trim ring and headlight assembly.
Remove stock front turn signal/clamp assembly.
· Disconnect the stock turn signals from their corresponding harnesses
inside the headlight bucket. Expose the wiring to allow you to set up and

splice and solder the wires accordingly. Note that you can cut the wiring
harness connectors from the stock turn signals and use them on your new
LED bullets to plug them directly into the bike’s stock wiring harness, but
be careful that proper function is achieved prior to soldering and making
connections permanent.

2. Silver bullet right front BLACK to stock wire BLACK
3. Silver bullet left front PURPLE to stock wire BLUE
4. Silver bullet left front BLACK to stock wire BLACK
· Be advised that is extremely likely that your bike’s right front turn signal
was incorrectly wired with reverse polarity. If your LEDs don’t light when
wired correctly (as above), then simply switch your wires on the right side
so that your LEDs purple wire (high intensity) is connected to the stock
black/ground wire and vice versa.
· Please note that the amber LED silver bullets are dual intensity, while the
stock system is single intensity (turn signal only). If you wish to wire your
silver bullets to also function as running lights, the blue wire from each
silver bullet must be wired to a “constant-on”/power wire, such as the
headlight low beam. If you do not wish to wire your turn signals for dual
intensity then the blue wires should be tied off.
· Be careful to run the wires in a manner that will avoid them being pinched
when the handlebars are turned. Once all your wires are set up in the
bucket, splice and solder your flasher module (if applicable, on ’04
Kingpin’s ONLY) in with the stock wiring and LED turn signal wiring.
Please note that on ’04 Kingpins, the flasher module can be
installed in place of the factory flasher relay at any time during
or after the installation of the front LED turn signals and does not
require any duplication or reversal of prior install work.
· Once testing and function check is complete, reinstall headlight and
double check any nuts/bolts for proper re-installation prior to riding.
· Please note that due to voltage fluctuations that it may be necessary to
start the bike to achieve proper turn signal function, this will be especially
necessary if you note one side is flashing faster than the other.
· Thread the silver bullet mounting bolt through the hole of the clamp and
tighten it firmly. Tighten the clamp firmly and evenly around the fork legs
flush with the top of the lower triple tree. To achieve maximum light
viewing angle and intensity, the surface of the LED silver bullet should be
as close to perpendicular to the ground as possible.
· You’re done, what are you waiting for…
