Victory Oil Cooler Relocation Kit
Installation Guide

Item # OC-069P & OC-069BL
 Tools Suggested

Teflon tape, 10 and 13mm socket, 5mm and 9/64ths Allen wrench, 3/4, 7/8 and 13/16 box end wrench (additional tools required for use of Universal Expandable Sleeving, please see separate instruction sheet).

PROCEDURE Average Time: 1 ½-2 hours

Step 1

The removal of the gas tank is recommended to speed installation.
Remove the entire stock oil cooler assembly per attached service manual instructions (4.5)
Remove horn and oil cooler mounting bracket. Reinstall horn using bolt/nut from mounting bracket, and washer included with hardware package. See picture below:

Step 2

Cut upper/supply oil line approximately 2 ½ inches from end. See picture below:

* The remainder of the upper/supply side oil line is required for installation and is re-used for the lower/return side oil line as shown below. The stock lower/return side is no longer needed.

Step 3

Install fittings into coolers as shown below, making sure to use Teflon tape on the threads. Please note that these use taper threads to achieve a pressure tight fit.

Step 4

Attach the oil cooler tubes in place with the top flush with the upper frame joint. The right side oil cooler tube should have the top oil cooler shown above installed with the 90 degree fitting at the bottom and the angled fitting at the top. The left side oil cooler tube should have the oil cooler shown on the bottom in the picture above with the straight fitting at the top and the 90 degree fitting at the bottom.

Step 5

Making the lines…
Please note that you’ll have to decide whether or not you wish to install the braided line covering. Keep in mind that when trimming both the braided line covering and oil line tubing that the size changes when (1) the oil line is pressed onto the barb line fittings or (2) the sleeving is expanded over the oil line. Below are recommendations based on the installation that included the braided covering. Please also see the separate instruction sheet, Universal Expandable Sleeivng Directions. If the sleeving is not used the yellow ends on the oil barb line fittings may be removed if desired and a small (1 inch) piece of shrink tube can be fitted over the gap.
Configure the three lines as shown below:

Middle Oil Cooler Line:

9 inches of oil line
2 push-on oil line fittings
9 ¼ inches of braided sleeving (optional)
2 ½ inch shrink tube sections (optional)

Upper/Supply Side Oil Cooler Line:

11 ¼ inches of oil line
10 ½ inches of braided sleeving (optional)
1 ½ inch shrink tube section (optional)
1 1 inch shrink tube section (optional)
1 oil line barb fitting

Lower/Return Side Oil Cooler Line:

Re-use the cut section of the upper cooler line that fit into the stock oil cooler.
7 inches of oil line
10 ¼ inches of braided sleeving (optional)
2 ½ inch shrink tube sections (optional)
1 oil line barb fitting
1 180 degree fitting

Step 6

Installing the lines…(make sure to use Teflon tape on all threaded connections).
Install the upper/supply side line by pushing the oil line hose barb into the stock oil line and attaching the fitting to the top of the right side oil cooler tube.
Install the middle oil cooler line by attaching both ends to the threaded 90 degree fittings coming out of the bottom of both oil cooler tubes.
Install the lower/return side line by firmly pushing the oil tube into the crankcase, firmly seating the white spacer on top of the black rubber O-ring. The slight bend in the tube should be at approximately 9/10 o’clock direction for proper routing around the front of the frame rail. Replace the 5mm Allen head bolt through the hole in the metal tab to keep it in place. Thread the 180 degree fitting to the top of the left side oil cooler tube.

Step 7

If the gas tank was removed, re-install.
Start the bike and let it idle, checking for oil leaks or weeping. If any leaks are discovered retighten the fittings as needed…
Time to ride…
