REAR AXLE NUT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1.) PLEASE REMEMBER IT IS ALWAYS ADVISED TO HAVE A CERTIFIED MECHANIC INSTALL ALL ACCESSORIES.
2.) REMOVE THE RIGHT SIDE AXLE NUT PICTURED
3.) USE A BLOCK OF WOOD AND PLACE ON THE AXLE AND TAP WITH A HAMMER TO SLIDE THROUGH TO THE OPPOSITE SIDE.
ONLY SLIDE IT FAR ENOUGH TO REMOVE THE STOCK WASHER FROM THE OPPOSITE SIDE.
4.) REMOVE THE STOCK WASHER FROM THE EXHAUST SIDE AND INSTALL THE NEW AXLE COVER. IT SHOULD SLIDE OVER THE HEAD OF THE AXLE.
5.) RE INSTALL THE AXLE NUT AND TIGHTEN. BE SURE TO TIGHTEN UNTIL THE AXLE BOLT IS PULLED TIGHT ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE.
6.)We highly recommend the use of a torque wrench to ensure proper installation. Since factory torque specification can vary from bike to bike, please check your owners manual prior to tightening or contact your local dealer for that information. For example, a Victory Vegas axle nut will require 65 foot pound of torque, while a Kawasaki Mean Streak shock nut will only require 22. Do not over-torque the fastener as you may damage the finish of the bracket, which, (as stated in the Conditions section of our website), voids your right to refund/replacement.
6.) DONT FORGET TO CHECK OUT THE CHROME AXLE COVER AVAILBLE TO COVER THIS NUT SHOWN BELOW:
