If you are measuring for a shield to purchase online from the comfort of your own garage, here is the simple step by step guide for windshield measurement: 

1. Sit on your bike in your standard riding position, both hands on the bars.

 

2. Have a buddy hold up a tape measure just about an inch above the headlight to allow for the mount kit.

 

3. Angle the tap at roughly the same angle of the forks ( maybe a little more upright)

 

4. Run your hand from our nose out to the tape measure

 

5. Have your someone read you the Inch Number your hand is near and you have it.

 

The Victory Motorcycle shield should align with the tip of the riders nose.

 

This way you are looking over the shield not through it. You want to look over the shield so if you are riding in the rain you can still see. Remember bikes do not have windshield wipers.
